Plantation Manor originated in the late 1940's when Mrs. Ollie Riley brought two elderly people who had no place to go into her home for nursing care. Her reputation as a person who deeply cared for the sick and elderly (not to mention her excellent home cooking) quickly spread and led her to open Riley Nursing Home, the area's first, in 1952. Mrs. Riley sold her nursing home in 1970 to a group of businessmen who would later become Central Management Company. The home's new name was Winnsboro Manor Nursing Center. Over the next 25 years a reputation for Quality Care and Superior Service became synonymous with that name as it had with its predecessor.
In 1995 Central Management Company embarked on an ambitious venture -- to build a modern nursing facility to replace Winnsboro Manor and to call it Plantation Manor. Plantation Manor truly exceeds the expectations and standards one might have of a nursing home. Our new facility is spacious; so spacious, in fact, you must see it to believe it. Our amenities include a specialized unit for patients with Alzheimer's disease and related disorders; a senior center for activities and therapies; a beautiful in-house chapel with stained, leaded glass; private carpeted suites; and numerous indoor and outdoor areas all nestled in the middle of over 67 acres for your safety and peace of mind.
We are proud of the history of Plantation Manor and the fine tradition of caring started by Mrs. Ollie Riley nearly 50 years ago. We are committed to continuing this tradition by providing you with the very best in Quality Care and Superior Service.
